An unused or non-running vehicle can leave you wondering: repair it, sell it, scrap it,
or donate it. Start with the title. Compare repair cost, realistic sale or scrap value,
towing, your time, and the cause you want to support. Before donating, verify the
organization's legal name and tax ID using the IRS Tax-Exempt Organization Search.
Confirm the vehicle has been accepted, ask who handles pickup and sale, and learn which
records you'll receive. Photograph the vehicle, remove personal items and toll tags, and
keep copies of every signed title, pickup, and transfer record. Cars Helping Kids, a
